Hi ladies!

Well, Viva Fat Vegas is FAST approaching! I can’t believe it is a WEEK from tomorrow! It’s been a whirlwind of activity and planning for Stiletto and I, so it will feel good to finally see if all come together. You can find the itinerary under Events – it’s just our basic itinerary, we’ll be e-mailing all you ladies a more detailed one soon. I’ll also be making up a map (because as you all know, I am a geek) to add to the itinerary so you can plot out where we are going.

We also have a few more sponsor announcements coming up once we get some official confirmation, so you’ll have to stay tuned!

It’s so thrilling that SO MANY fatshion bloggers will be in attendance for Viva Fat Vegas and we will be meeting so many people, and most importantly, that we have this amazing opportunity to discuss plus size fashion! I’ve been thinking about things to discuss as a group (and to report back on our blogs after the conference!) and here are some ideas:

1. How the plus size fashion blogging community can come together
2. The best ways to promote your blog
3. What tools you have found useful as a fashion blogger
4. A list of things to help new bloggers
5. What “integrity” means in terms of blogging

I’d love all of you to leave a comment with an idea for discussion – this is going to be not just a fun and fabulous weekend – but a weekend we can learn from, too!

Rosie Mercado Luncheon Update!

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to touch base and give you all some updated info for the Rosie Mercado intimate luncheon on Sunday Sept 19th during the Viva Fat Vegas Bloggers Conference!

First off lets all give a big thank you to our luncheon sponsors the wonderful people at City Chic and the lovely women running Pambras: The Original Bra Liner thanks to them we have secured a great location at a fabulous restaurant FireFly right off the strip.

We will be heading for our 11:30am reservations at FireFly and will be dining on a lovely Tapas Lunch giving us a taste of some of their most popular tapas family style in an intimate lounge setting. We are passed the point of no return, as of midnight last night I have heard back from everyone interested in coming and have a confirmed list. I took into consideration any roommate requests you all had and it worked out swimmingly, now all thats left to do is book your rooms!

Gabby & Tina both will be in Vegas already and have other accomidations but will be meeting up with us for events!

Now it is up to you to talk to your roomates and book your room!

Let them know you the dates you are booking for and that you are with the Viva Fat Vegas group with the code VIVF001

If you are rooming 3 to a room tell them there will only be 2 of you. The host who gave us the offer gave those instructions so they wont charge for the extra person. 

They should be setting you up for a Premier Room based on our agreement and let them know that Jasmin (our host) said that we would only have to pay for first night upfront. The first night fee with taxes and resort charges should only come to $61.60. I just booked our room and that was the total. They will give you a confirmation number for your reservation. Also keep in mind if you are booking but your roomate may be arriving before you that you should add their name to the room as well.

The rest of the hotel fees will be paid at time of your stay and for two nights should total $132 and for three nights $182.  Please arrange how you will handle payment with your roomate(s).  For our room I paid the upfront fee and then Allison and Sarah will pay for their portion when we get there.

If you have any problems please ask to speak to Jasmin who is very nice and helpful and the host for our hotel stay. Also if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!

Deadlines Approaching!

Hi Ladies!

Just wanted to touch base with you in regard to those who still haven’t confirmed for the conference. We have got some great stuff planned, some of which we have already let you all know about but some other big announcements are coming as well. We need to have a number of attendees set for some of these things so it is important that we get all of you confirmed now. If you still haven’t confirmed with either Sarah or myself you have until Midnight Monday August 30th to let us know if you are in or if you are out (haha I feel like Heidi on Project Runway).

On Tuesday we will be posting all of the roommate assignments (don’t worry your preferences are what we are going off) so let us know who you want to room with too, and we will also be posting the hotel information so you can all start booking! The Riviera has set it up that with our group rate when you set up your reservation you only have to pay for the first night and then the rest can be paid for while we are there so this should make it a bit easier to reserve your rooms now and to split costs with your roomie!

Please email sarah@tabayag.com and stilettosiren@live.com with your confirmation of attendance, any roommate preferences you have and also if you have your travel information when you will be coming in and when you will be departing, just so we have an idea!

Your Sizes To Fit selections are due Monday at Midnight as well but I recommend getting that in as soon as possible so you get the dress or top of your choice!
